Tennis is an amazing sport where the goal is to try to be the last one to place the ball in the boundaries of your opponent's court.

World Record: Longest Match in History
At Wimbledon 2010 first round, John Isner and Nicolas Mahut broke many world records with their match that lasted over 11 hours. It was so unexpected and incredible that it even made an article in Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isner%E2%80%93Mahut_match_at_the_2010_Wimbledon_Championships Check out the scoreboard below for the results of the match.
In the last set, 70-68 games is incredible and I am surprised that either of them had the strength to keep hitting winners and aces. But finally, John came up with two winners that broke Mahut's service game and claimed victory. Here are some highlights and the rest of the statistics near the end of the video:
The funny thing is, this was only a first round match. Usually it's best to finish the first few matches quickly so you can be in your best condition towards the end of the tournament where you really need to be in perfect shape. I won't tell you what happened on the rest of Isner's run, but try and guess. How far do you think John lasted after this long battle and what other challenges do you think he faced that were caused by the length of this match?
