The number one ranked player in women's proffessional tennis is Caroline Wozniaki. However, she has not won one Grand Slam (US Open, Austalian Open, Wimbledon, French Open) yet! Usually, all the previous top ranked players have won a Grand Slam but Wozniaki's best result in one is the semifinal.
Kim Clijsters has won many Grand Slam tournaments and even pushed Caroline out for a week despite playing much fewer of the tournaments Wozniaki plays. Kim mostly participates and puts in the effort to win the big Grand Slams and she is probably the best player on tour. She would be number one if she didn't have a family and children to spend time with as well.
However, Caroline still plays like a top ranked tennis player because she is constantly trying to improve her game. Do you think Wozniaki deserves to be No. 1 and what is your reason?
